GUARDIAN ANGEL TEXT LINK AD

For a suggested 80 rmb or 10 USD per month, you can help support our work in caring for animals who have been abandoned, abused or lost. This is the minimal cost per month of keeping a single healthy cat fed and homed, but does not nearly cover the costs of medical expenses, transportation and cats with special needs.

(If you cannot afford this amount, we are happy to offer a sliding scale.)

How it Works:

• Choose a cat you wish to sponsor.
• Contact us by email at sponsor(at)beijingcat(dot)org and let us know which cat you’ve chosen, the URL of your website and the preferred text you’d like as you text link ad (such as your own name or name of your company). Also, if you have a logo you’d like featured on our guardian angels community page, please send us that (or a link to it).
• If we are able to accept you as one of our guardian angels, we’ll notify you by email and then request that you pay via the “make a donation” link on our right sidebar. We are encouraging guardian angels to make a minimum commitment of 3 months, but we won’t turn away sponsors who can’t afford that much.

• A textlink to your website will appear in the post for that particular cat (and any email communications about him or her). Also, a graphic logo of your personal or company website will appear on our Guardian Angel page. (If you don’t have a website, we can still feature your relevant contact information on our Guardian Angel page, if you wish.) You’ll also notice a sidebar list of the names of all our guardian angels linking to the cat you sponsor.
• As each cat gets a new guardian angel, we will move their post to the top of the front page.

• There may be multiple sponsors per cat – in fact, we hope so! This way, each cat will have a small group of guardian angels, and sponsors can enjoy a tiny bit of compassion-based community.

• If your sponsored cat is re-homed, then we will transfer your textlink ad to another cat in need of a sponsor.

It is our hope that via these guardian angel sponsorships, participants will discover new friends and associates, enjoy a sense of partnership in a good cause and be able to feel a real sense of achievement when their sponsored cat finds a new home.

We are working hard to create new ways to build community and bring good traffic to the site, so we believe that advertising here — a place visited by persons of goodwill and open hearts — is a great way to reach a small but unique section of the Beijing and net community.

(Note: All revenue from the guardian angels program is distributed evenly among all our cats.)

Payment Options

We can accept payment via PayPal (which accepts most major credit cards) or by bank transfer. Please just click the PayPal “make a donation” button on the right sidebar. (Please note: We do not have non-profit status, so this may not be a tax-deductible donation for you.)
